FKA twigs<\/a> has announced a new album, EUSEXUA Afterglow. It\u2019s set for release via Atlantic Records\/Young Recordings on November 14th. Along with the album announcement, the artist has shared the first single, \u201cCheap Hotel.\u201d Listen to it below.<\/p>\n

Originally envisioned as a deluxe edition of EUSEXUA<\/a>, FKA\u2019s album released earlier this year (and which topped Consequence\u2019s list of the 30 Best Albums of 2025 So Far<\/a>), EUSEXUA Afterglow has since evolved into its own body of work, described as a \u201ccontinuation\u201d with an entirely new tracklist.<\/p>\n

With EUSEXUA explained as \u201ca love letter to the techno rave scene and how it can initiate change within,\u201d this new album \u201cexpands on the feelings that come after experiencing EUSEXUA, transmuting them into a soundtrack for the hours after the rave and extending that high into the afters,\u201d according to a press release. \u201cAfterglow is a record steeped in the reverence of techno, but the beats now are fractured and derelict, and playful most importantly.\u201d<\/p>\n

FKA twigs new album announcement follows a busy year of tour dates and festival appearances, as well as a new song \u201cPerfectly,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0which the artist previewed at live shows. The EUSEXUA Afterglow era officially kicked off last month in Seoul, Korea, with an intimate after-party and rave where \u201cCheap Hotel\u201d was played for the first time.<\/p>\n

\u201cCheap Hotel\u201d is a shimmering and shape-shifting synth-drenched soundscape featuring FKA twigs\u2019 airy, delicate vocals. The atmospheric track\u2019s post-rave perspective is perfectly mirrored in the song\u2019s surreal Jordan Hemingway-directed music video. Watch it below.<\/p>\n

Just last month, it was revealed that FKA twigs was cast as the Virgin Mary in the upcoming horror film, The Carpenter\u2019s Son<\/a>, starring Nicolas Cage as the titular carpenter whose son turns out to be Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

That won\u2019t be FKA twigs\u2019 only foray into film, as she\u2019s slated to star as Josephine Baker in an upcoming biopic<\/a> directed by French filmmaker Ma\u00efmouna Doucour\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, she settled<\/a> her sexual abuse lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, Shia LaBeouf, out of court.<\/p>\n

FKA twigs is also set appear at the already sold-out 2026 edition<\/a> of the Coachella<\/a> festival in Indio, CA, next April.<\/p>\n
