\n\tBruce Springsteen<\/a> admittedly \u201ccouldn\u2019t care less\u201d what President Donald Trump<\/a> thinks of him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a new interview with Time Magazine<\/a>, the \u201cBorn in the U.S.A.\u201d singer reflected on his recents criticisms of the president. Some of his comments came during a May stop on The Land of Hope and Dreams Tour, where he slammed<\/a> the Trump administration.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn my home, the America I love, the America I\u2019ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,\u201d he said at the time. \u201cTonight we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experiment to rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe president later responded<\/a> to his comments on Truth Social, where he said the musician was \u201cdumb as a rock\u201d and that \u201cthis dried out \u2018prune\u2019 of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that\u2019s just \u2018standard fare\u2019. Then we\u2019ll all see how it goes for him!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf I\u2019m going to stay true to who I\u2019ve tried to be\u2026I can\u2019t give these guys a free pass,\u201d Springsteen told Time. \u201cA lot of people bought into his lies.\u2026 He doesn\u2019t care about the forgotten anybody but himself and the multibillionaires who stood behind him on Inauguration Day.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSpringsteen added, \u201cYou have to face the fact that a good number of Americans are simply comfortable with his politics of power and dominance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs to what the president has said about him, Springsteen said, \u201cI absolutely couldn\u2019t care less what he thinks about me.\u2026 He\u2019s the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for. If Congress had any guts, he\u2019d be consigned to the trash heap of history.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
