(KATV) \u2014 A water main break at Murphy Drive and Olympia Drive in Maumelle has led to a precautionary boil water notice for about 200 customers.<\/p>\n<p>The break, which occurred around 10:15 a.m., on September 26, caused an interruption in water service. <\/p>\n<p>Central Arkansas Water (CAW) expects to restore service by 11 p.m. tonight.<\/p>\n<p>According to CAW, areas that were impacted include:<\/p>\n<p>Rolling Oaks Dr. (Maumelle Blvd. to Oakridge Dr.)Garden Oaks Dr., Ln., Cv.Murphy Dr. (Maumelle Blvd. to Bringler Dr.)Burkhalter Commercial Dr.<\/p>\n<p>The Arkansas Health Department. requires a boil notice when there&#8217;s a loss of pressure affecting a large area.<\/p>\n<p>Affected residents should boil tap water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, or dishwashing. <\/p>\n<p>CAW is informing residents through street signs, social media, and door hangers. <\/p>\n<p>The notice will be lifted once water quality samples confirm safety. <\/p>\n<p>For questions, customers can contact the CAW Distribution Dispatch Center at (501) 377-1239.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Maumelle, Ark.
