Koei Tecmo has now commented on why that is.<\/p>\n<p>Dynasty Warriors Origins originally ran at 60 FPS on other platforms. Technically, Nintendo Switch 2 could do this as well. Omega Force brand head Tomohiko Sho has indicated that 60 FPS would be possible on the console if they cut back on the amount of soldiers comparable to previous entries in the series.<\/p>\n<p>During an event at TGS 2025, Sho <a href=\"https:\/\/www.famitsu.com\/article\/202509\/53757\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">stated<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Switch 2 version is set to a fixed 30 FPS, and stable operation is a priority in development. Because it\u2019s a great piece of hardware, I think it would be possible to display it at 60fps if we reduced the number of soldiers to the same level as in previous Dynasty Warriors games, but for this game we\u2019re thinking it would be best to have thousands of soldiers and play at a stable 30 FPS. It\u2019s a great product, so please enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dynasty Warriors Origins will hit Nintendo Switch 2 on January 22, 2026.
