The PGA of America released the following statement:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Heather has extended an apology to Rory McIlroy and Ryder Cup Europe and has stepped down from hosting the first tee of the Ryder Cup.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s video in which you can hear someone join a &#8220;Fu&#8211; you, Rory!&#8221; chant with a microphone by the first tee.<\/p>\n<p>McIlroy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfdigest.com\/story\/ryder-cup-2025-rory-mcilroy-saturday-fans\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:dealt with abuse from the fans;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">dealt with abuse from the fans<\/a> at Bethpage Black all day on Saturday.
