Android 16\u2019s big Material 3 Expressive update brings resizable Quick Settings to Google Pixel users, and now it\u2019s been revealed that Samsung will do the same thing with its next major Galaxy update.<\/p>\n

Samsung is in the midst of its One UI 8 rollout<\/a>, bringing Android 16 to more Galaxy users. But right around the corner is One UI 8.5, Samsung\u2019s next major update which is expected to launch with the Galaxy S26 series. Builds of this new update have been floating around as of late, revealing a lot of what Samsung is working on.<\/p>\n

In some of the latest leaks, we\u2019re seeing Samsung\u2019s plans to adopt the resizable Quick Settings \u2013 which Samsung calls \u201cQuick Panel\u201d \u2013 that debuted on Google Pixel devices in Android 16\u2019s redesign earlier this year. Google\u2019s revamp allows users the ability to not only customize the layout of Quick Settings tiles, but also to adjust their size between icons and larger buttons. It\u2019s been a welcome change to Android as a whole, though we\u2019ve not seen it adopted widely just yet.<\/p>\n

But, now, it\u2019s been confirmed that Samsung will jump on board in One UI 8.5.<\/p>\n

As shared by Tarun Vats<\/a> and SamMobile<\/a>, Samsung will make it possible to adjust the size of each toggle in the Quick Panel in One UI 8.5, as well as adjusting the size of things like the media widget, volume slider, brightness controls, and more. You can even change the orientation as you see fit. It\u2019s a fully customizable take on Quick Settings for Samsung Galaxy users, and it looks great.<\/p>\n

As mentioned, Samsung is expected to roll out One UI 8.5 around the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, so you shouldn\u2019t expect it on existing devices until early next year.<\/p>\n
