Power banks<\/a> come in all shapes and sizes, so it\u2019s worth taking a moment to think about how you plan on using the one you want to buy. Smartphones don\u2019t need huge-capacity bricks to power up a couple of times over; a 5K or 10K portable charger should be plenty if that\u2019s all you\u2019re looking to support. If you want a more versatile accessory that can charge a tablet, laptop or gaming handheld, consider a brick with a higher capacity \u2014 and more ports so you can charge multiple devices simultaneously.<\/p>\n

We all have plenty of cables in our lives, so a good wireless charger<\/a> (or two) can eliminate a few of the ones you use the most. Think about where you\u2019ll use the wireless charger you want to buy before deciding. Those outfitting a home office with new tech may want a wireless charging stand that puts their phone in an upright position that\u2019s easier to see while it\u2019s powering up, while those who want a wireless charger for their nightstand might prefer a lay-flat design or a power station that can charge a smartphone, smartwatch and pair of earbuds all at once.<\/p>\n
