As Season 2 of \u201cGen V<\/a>\u201d kicks off and the fifth and final season of \u201cThe Boys<\/a>\u201d wraps up filming, we decided to lay out every \u201cThe Boys\u201d sequel and prequel that\u2019s underway, and all the shows in between.<\/p>\n

You know a show is great when it blossoms into several spinoffs \u2014 and good ones at that. Shout out to writer Garth Ennis and illustrator Darick Robertson for crafting the comic book series on which the television series is based, and Eric Kripke for developing the comic into a cult-followed franchise that\u2019s as culturally and societally relevant as it is adventurous and exciting. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Boys\u201d (2019)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Boys\u201d stands as the original series in the franchise. It was adapted from the comic book series of the same name, which was written by Garth Ennis and illustrated by Darick Robertson. The fourth season finished up in July 2014, with the fifth and final season expected to arrive on Prime Video in 2026. <\/p>\n

Three years after \u201cThe Boys\u201d premiered, the universe spawned its very first sequel, \u201cThe Boys Presents: Diabolical.\u201d It\u2019s an anthology series set in the same universe as \u201cThe Boys.\u201d So far, there are no details on if or when there will be a second season.<\/p>\n

Of course, \u201cThe Boys\u201d had to tap into the Gen Z audience by putting out its second spinoff, \u201cGen V.\u201d Bringing it back to live action, \u201cGen V\u201d centers on a group of young supes who are students at the Vought-ran university Godolkin University, where viewers learned about the scientists who have been testing and experimenting on supes. Unlike \u201cThe Boys,\u201d \u201cGen V\u2019s\u201d storyline and characters aren\u2019t taken directly from the \u201cThe Boys\u201d comic book series, but its plots are intertwined with \u201cThe Boys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in November 2023, news that \u201cThe Boys\u201d was coming out with its third spinoff, \u201cThe Boys: Mexico,\u201d hit headlines.\u201cBlue Beetle\u201d<\/a>\u00a0writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, Diego Luna and Gael Garc\u00eda Bernal have been tapped as the show\u2019s executive producers.<\/p>\n

For now, there are no details about the show\u2019s plot. And while casting hasn\u2019t begun, Luna and Garc\u00eda Bernal have\u00a0reportedly<\/a>\u00a0considered appearing as characters in the show in addition to producing it. \u201cThe Boys: Mexico\u201d will be shot in Mexico and the series is seeking a co-showrunner to work alongside Dunnet-Alcocer, per reports.<\/p>\n

In the first \u201cThe Boys\u201d prequel, \u201cVought Rising,\u201d<\/a> the universe is throwing it all the way back to the \u201950s to fill viewers in on the backstory of Vought International. <\/p>\n

Premiered: There\u2019s no premiere date just yet, but we\u2019ll be back with updates once we\u2019ve got them. However, it\u2019s likely to come out around late 2026 or early 2027.<\/p>\n

About: Set in the 1950s, the show will track the \u201chumble\u201d origins of the superhero corporation Vought International. The series will also focus on Soldier Boy and Stormfront and their dynamic. A product of Vought\u2019s research in Germany during the 1930s, Stormfront is a literal Nazi. Meanwhile, Soldier Boy fought for America.<\/p>\n

Cast: So far, the cast includes Jensen Ackles, Aya Cash, Ricky Staffieri, Brian J.
