Joe Flacco once again performed poorly for the Browns in their 34-10 loss to the Lions on Sunday, with Dillon Gabriel coming in at the end of the game to perform some mop-up work at quarterback. <\/p>\n
Flacco finished the game 16-of-34 for 184 yards with three giveaways \u2014 two interceptions and a lost fumble on an Aidan Hutchinson strip-sack.<\/p>\n
Through four games, Flacco has now completed 58.1 percent of his passes for 815 yards with two touchdowns and six interceptions.<\/p>\n
Will he continue to be the starting quarterback?<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, obviously when we struggle like we did on offense \u2014 obviously, I understand the question, but that\u2019s not our focus,\u201d head coach Kevin Stefnaski said after the game.<\/p>\n
Why not consider a change?<\/p>\n
\u201cAgain, respectfully, we didn\u2019t do enough on offense,\u201d Stefanski said.<\/p>\n
Stefanski was also asked if he believes Flacco is giving the Browns their best chance to win.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, again, it\u2019s never going to be about one person, it\u2019s just not,\u201d Stefanski said. \u201cWe\u2019re not doing a good enough job. I\u2019ll put myself in there as well. We have to be better.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Browns will play the Vikings in London next week, which would present a challenge for any quarterback \u2014 let alone one making his first start as a rookie. If the Browns do decide to go a different direction at QB, it would likely be to turn to Gabriel \u2014 a third-round pick in this year\u2019s draft.
