Expectations that Apple will launch an iPhone Fold<\/a> next year got further traction from a Samsung announcement. <\/p>\n While Apple\u2019s display partner did not mention the company by name, there seems little doubt who is being referenced \u2026<\/p>\n 2026 iPhone Fold<\/p>\n Everyone<\/a> now seems aligned<\/a> on reports<\/a> that a foldable iPhone will finally be launched next year. This follows the launch of the iPhone Air, which was an important stepping stone<\/a> toward the far thinner displays needed. Apple was said to have been\u00a0testing realistic prototypes<\/a>\u00a0of the device back in the summer, and iOS 27 is reported to be focusing on features specifically for the new device<\/a>.<\/p>\n Samsung Display is Apple\u2019s primary partner for iPhone screens, most notably for its most advanced models. The company is naturally expected to be making the display<\/a> for the upcoming iPhone Fold.<\/p>\n Samsung prepping for mass-production<\/p>\n Korean site ChosunBiz<\/a> reports on remarks by the President of Samsung Display, Lee Cheong. While he didn\u2019t specifically name Apple, he might just as well have done.<\/p>\n The 8.6th-generation organic light-emitting diode (OLED) production line currently in preparation is scheduled to start operations by the end of the second quarter or in the third quarter next year.
