\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios<\/a> has added six to the cast of its new comedy, Close Personal Friends<\/a>. They are Anna Konkle<\/a> (PEN15), Melissa Villase\u00f1or<\/a> (Saturday Night Live), Natasia Demetriou<\/a> (What We Do in the Shadows), Jack Shalloo<\/a> (Harlan Coben\u2019s Stay Close), Patti Harrison<\/a> (Poker Face), and Dustin Demri-Burns<\/a> (The Magic Faraway Tree).<\/p>\n

Reuniting Jason Orley, Isaac Aptaker, and Elizabeth Berger with Amazon MGM Studios following their work on its 2022 rom-com I Want You Back, starring Charlie Day and Jenny Slate, the film\u2019s plot is being kept under wraps, as are character details. As previously announced, Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding are set to lead the cast.<\/p>\n

\n\tOrley is directing from a script by Aptaker, based on a story the two wrote together. Aptaker and Berger are producing for The Walk-Up Company, alongside Maximum Effort\u2019s Ashley Fox and Johnny Pariseau, with Orley exec producing.<\/p>\n

\n\tAn Emmy nominee best known for co-creating and co-starring in Hulu\u2019s Pen15, Konkle\u2019s other upcoming films include Joe Swanberg and Jake Johnson\u2019s Unt. Alaska Feature, on which we had the scoop<\/a>, and Josh Trank\u2019s Send a Scare. She is repped by OPE Partners and UTA.<\/p>\n

\n\tBreaking barriers as the first-ever Latina cast member of Saturday Night Live, Villase\u00f1or can also be seen in Jerry Seinfeld\u2019s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, HBO\u2019s Barry and Crashing, Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens from Comedy Central, and more. She is repped by WME, Compound Management, and Garrett Legal.<\/p>\n

\n\tA BAFTA nominee best known for her lead role of Nadja in FX\u2019s What We Do in the Shadows, Demetriou also starred in Stath Lets Flats for Channel 4 and teamed with comedy partner Ellie White to create and headline the BBC sketch series Ellie & Natasia. She is repped by United Agents and Ocean Avenue.<\/p>\n

\n\tShalloo can be seen in Harlan Coben\u2019s Stay Close for Netflix, ITV\u2019s The Tower and Belgravia, Steve McQueen\u2019s Blitz, and Sam Mendes\u2019 1917. Soon to be seen in Chlo\u00e9 Zhao\u2019s Focus Features awards contender Hamnet, he is repped by The Artists Partnership.<\/p>\n

\n\tHarrison was most recently in Season 2 of Peacock\u2019s Poker Face and has also been seen on shows like Shrill, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, High Maintenance, and Search Party. Select feature credits include Theater Camp, The Lost City, and Together Together, for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. She is repped by UTA, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.<\/p>\n

\n\tNext set to appear in the feature adaptation of children\u2019s book series The Magic Faraway Tree, Demri-Burns rose to fame as one half of the BAFTA-nominated sketch and British Comedy Award-winning act Cardinal Burns.
