As many on the right criticize the NFL’s Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show pick, a longtime President Trump adviser is warning the league.<\/p>\n
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will attend the 2026 Super Bowl, according to Corey Lewandowski, an adviser at the Department of Homeland Security.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else,\u201d Lewandowski said Wednesday on \u201cThe Benny Show.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will find you. We will apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you. So know that that is a very real situation under this administration, which is completely contrary to what how it used to be.”<\/p>\n
The NFL isn’t shying away from Bad Bunny<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I\u2019m feeling goes beyond myself. It\u2019s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown \u2026 this is for my people, my culture and our history,\u201d Bad Bunny said in a statement Sunday.<\/p>\n
Lewandowski, meanwhile, is not happy.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so shameful that they\u2019ve decided to pick somebody who just seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime game,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was at the Super Bowl last year with President Trump. I had the chance to be in Louisiana in his box and watch the game, and got to enjoy that,\u201d Lewandowski told Benny Johnson. \u201cBut listen, we should be trying to be inclusive and not exclusive. There are plenty of great bands and entertainment people out there who could be playing at that show that would be bringing people together and not separating them.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t care if it\u2019s a concert for Johnny Smith or Bad Bunny or anybody else. We\u2019re going to do enforcement everywhere. We are going to make Americans safe. That is a directive from the president. If you\u2019re in this country illegally, do yourself a favor: go home.\u201d<\/p>\n
Super Bowl 60 is set to be played on Sunday, February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.<\/p>\n
