He&#8217;ll now lead a new commercial leadership team that pulls together voices from engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and finance to help steer product strategy and execution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Chief marketing officer Takeshi Numoto and his team will also move under Althoff, while still keeping a direct line to Nadella on things like business models, consumer marketing, and brand strategy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">In a memo to staff, Nadella tied the shuffle directly to the AI wave. We are in the midst of a tectonic AI platform shift, he wrote. It requires us to manage and grow our business today, while also building the new frontier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Althoff, who joined Microsoft in 2013 after a long run at Oracle (<a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/ORCL\" data-ylk=\"slk:NYSE:ORCL;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NYSE:ORCL<\/a>), now takes a bigger role just as the company doubles down on AI.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">It will be interesting to monitor Microsoft&#8217;s EPS in the upcoming quarter, which currently<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gurufocus.com\/term\/eps-basic\/MSFT?r=caf6fe0e0db70d936033da5461e60141&amp;utm_source=yahoo_finance&amp;utm_medium=syndication&amp;utm_campaign=headlines&amp;utm_content=microsoft_reshuffles_leadership_to_free_nadella_for_ai_push&amp;utm_term=MSFT\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:clocks in at $13.69 TTM;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"> clocks in at $13.69 TTM <\/a>ended in June this year.
