NORFOLK, Va. \u2013 Old Dominion men\u2019s basketball head coach Mike Jones<\/a> announced the Monarchs\u2019 non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season on Friday. ODU will play 13 non-conference games, to include four at Chartway Arena.<\/p>\n

The non-conference schedule will see Old Dominion taking the court against teams from the A10, the Big East, the Big 10, the CAA, and the MEAC. It also includes games against four programs that competed in postseason tournaments last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited about the non-conference schedule that we were able to put together,\u201d said Jones. \u201cWe certainly will be tested heading into Sun Belt Conference play. As the landscape of college basketball continues to evolve, scheduling has become an unintended casualty – so to be able to have the opponents that we were able to get is something that we are proud of, and we look forward to the challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following an exhibition game versus Hampton on Sunday Oct. 26, the Monarchs will open the season at Miami of Ohio on Monday, Nov. 3 in the first round of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge. ODU\u2019s home opener will be against NCAA Division III member Randolph College on Thursday, Nov. 6 and the team then hosts crosstown rival Norfolk State on Tuesday, Nov. 11.<\/p>\n

Following road games at George Washington on Saturday, Nov. 15 and at Xavier on Tuesday, Nov. 18, the team returns to Norfolk to play Morgan State on Friday, Nov. 21.<\/p>\n

After hosting the Bears, ODU opens a five-game road swing with a trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Monarchs will play at Drexel on Sunday, Nov. 23 and at Villanova on Tuesday, Nov. 25 before wrapping up the month with a game at William & Mary on Sunday, Nov. 30.<\/p>\n

In December, ODU will play at Richmond on Dec. 6, then travel to Fairfax, Virginia for a Dec. 13 contest at George Mason. After the holiday break, the Monarchs will make the drive up to College Park, Maryland on Dec. 28 to square off with the Terrapins.<\/p>\n

The second round of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge will see ODU hosting a MAC opponent on Saturday, Feb. 7. Matchups for the second round will be determined by NET rankings, geography, and frequency of past contests.<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball season tickets for the 2025-26 season will be available on Tuesday, July 22. Call the ODU Ticket Office at 757-683-4444 for more information.<\/p>\n
