The Live with Kelly and Mark host, who celebrated her 55th birthday on the Thursday, Oct. 2, episode of her and Mark Consuelos<\/a>‘ talk show, revealed during their latest installment just how much she values her personal time \u2014 and what goes down when things don’t go as planned.<\/p>\n Toward the beginning of the episode, per Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Ripa described an article she read that covered “brief periods of alone time” in the age of the internet, which she said were “crucial to de-stress and regulate your emotions.” She then told the Live crowd that while she loves her “alone time,” she wasn’t so sure if her husband of 29 years valued it as much.<\/p>\n “You don’t take it personally that I love alone time, right,” she asked Consuelos, 54.<\/p>\n “Sometimes when I’m enjoying my alone time and you come in the room, I want to scream. You know what I mean? I feel like you’ve interrupted my alone time because you’re done with your alone time,” Ripa said. “And then you just come in, like, ‘Oh, your alone time’s done, so so is mine.'”<\/p>\n “But I need 40 more minutes. I love you,” Consuelos wrote.<\/p>\n Ripa also received some birthday love from ABC colleague David Muir<\/a>, who shared an Instagram Stories post of himself and Ripa smiling together. “I know. I can’t believe it either,” he captioned the photo. “Another year \u2014 happiest birthday. The rest of us are so lucky.”<\/p>\n Ripa and Consuelos, who have been hosting the show together since April 2023, share three children: Joaquin, 22, Lola, 24, and Michael, 28.<\/p>\n Ahead of her birthday this week, the pair stepped out for the Broadcasting + Cable Hall Of Fame Awards 33rd Anniversary Gala in New York City in coordinating black ensembles. The pair matched in classic black suits, while Ripa opted for a sheer black lace top underneath.
