(WBKO) &#8211; Toys for Tots of Southern Kentucky is partnering with the Tennessee Valley Authority to open eight new Book Nooks across the region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Book Nook initiative offers children and families free, age-appropriate books to promote reading and learning. The new nooks will be located in community centers, schools, and public spaces in the following counties: Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, and Simpson. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThese nooks give kids the tools they need to dream big,\u201d said local coordinator Janel Doyle. TVA leaders echoed that sentiment, calling the effort an investment in education and stronger communities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Book Nooks launch on Oct. 6, with celebrations planned at select sites.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WBKO.
