Airing every weekday ahead of the 2 News Nevada Evening Edition, \u201c2 Plus You Nevada\u201d features a wide range of content, including local businesses, dining, tourism, fashion, entertainment, community events, charitable organizations, and more, all built around the life and culture of Northern Nevada.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a new direction for KTVN\u2019s afternoon lineup and a return to community-centered storytelling.<\/p>\n
The show is hosted by Sarah Johns, a familiar face to Northern Nevada viewers. Johns began her television career at KTVN in 1998 and spent more than a decade as a main evening anchor in the market. Most recently, she served as President and CEO of the Nevada Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, one of the region\u2019s largest business networking organizations.<\/p>\n
Her unique blend of on-air experience and deep community involvement brings both credibility and connection to the new show.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am thrilled to rejoin the KTVN family,\u201d said Sarah Johns, host of \u201c2 Plus You Nevada.\u201d \u201cThis show is a fun new broadcast that answers my desire to tell the good stories within our community, and allows me to be a present and active wife and mother.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johns has been married to her husband, Dave, for nine years. They have two elementary-aged children, Zac (8) and Stella (6).<\/p>\n
While KTVN once aired a magazine-style program decades ago, \u201c2 Plus You Nevada\u201d is a modern take on the format, designed with today\u2019s viewers and topics in mind.
