Nineteen-year-old Brilyn Hollyhand, crowned<\/a> Charlie Kirk\u2019s \u201cprot\u00e9g\u00e9\u201d in a recent New York Post profile<\/a>, has drawn MAGA\u2019s fury with a video filmed from a private jet as he kick-starts his Turning Point USA-style campus speaking events.<\/p>\n

The tour, dubbed One Conversation at a Time, came after Hollyland vowed to carry forward the slain<\/a> conservative activist\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n

But last week, Hollyhand\u2019s image cracked when a self-shot promotional video \u2014 showing the Alabama teenager sitting on a private jet and sporting a luxury watch \u2014 that has since ricocheted across conservative social media.<\/p>\n

Critics on the right seized on the footage as proof he was less grassroots firebrand than \u201ccountry-club\u201d conservative, reported The Bulwark\u2019s Will Sommer.<\/p>\n

Nick Sortor, a Republican influencer who briefly co-hosted Kirk\u2019s show, warned against \u201cgrifters\u201d pushing tours as a \u201cdistraction\u201d from the real work of TPUSA.<\/p>\n

TPUSA\u2019s own chief operating officer Tyler Bowyer was harsher still, claiming Hollyhand \u201clet us all down\u201d when he associated with ex-Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel and accusing him of falsely suggesting his events were sponsored by the group.<\/p>\n

Other users framed the teen as proof that the Republican Party was pushing back on MAGA\u2019s influence:<\/p>\n

Hollyland did find himself one notable defender, however, in close Trump ally Laura Loomer, who derided the \u201ctoxic\u201d criticism and those piling on as \u201cjealous\u201d of the activist\u2019s family wealth.<\/p>\n

Sommer highlighted that Hollyhand attempted to push back on the onslaught, arguing the jet belonged to a \u201chometown friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

That explanation has done little to quiet anger among Trump loyalists who see the teenager as an emblem of a Republican establishment eager to roll back the culture-war edge Kirk embodied.<\/p>\n
