Things got more dramatic from there as top-10 teams struggled against unranked teams.<\/p>\n

No. 7 Penn State suffered the biggest upset of the year<\/a>, falling on the road at UCLA in a stunner. Then, moments later, Florida knocked off No. 9 Texas<\/a> in an SEC thriller. Also in the SEC: No. 10 Alabama flexed some muscle and silenced Diego Pavia<\/a> in a 30-14 win over No. 16 Vanderbilt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the nightcap, No. 3 Miami looked like a contender<\/a> in dispatching No. 18 Florida State. And No. 6 Texas A&M took care of business at home<\/a> against Mississippi State with a dominant defensive performance.<\/p>\n
