{"id":203471,"date":"2025-10-05T14:45:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T14:45:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/203471\/"},"modified":"2025-10-05T14:45:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T14:45:10","slug":"us-marco-rubio-says-gaza-war-not-yet-over-priority-is-to-get-hostages-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/203471\/","title":{"rendered":"US\u2019 Marco Rubio says Gaza war not yet over, priority is to get hostages out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The war in Gaza has \u201cnot yet\u201d ended, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sunday, describing the release of the hostages held by Hamas as the first phase, while details on what happens after that still need to be worked out.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">He said Hamas had \u201cbasically\u201d agreed to President Donald Trump\u2019s proposal and the framework for releasing the hostages, while meetings were under way to coordinate the logistics of that.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cThey have also agreed, in principle and generalities, to enter into this idea about what\u2019s going to happen afterwards,\u201d he said. \u201cA lot of details are going to have to be worked out there.\u201d Speaking later on Sunday, Rubio said that nothing was certain.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cNo one can tell you it\u2019s a 100 per cent guarantee,\u201d he said.
