\n\tAs Friday\u2019s stabbing incident<\/a> involving NFL<\/a> alum Mark Sanchez<\/a> slowly comes into focus, the team at Fox Sports <\/a>seems to be just as bewildered as the rest of us.<\/p>\n

\n\tOver the weekend, the network addressed the incident on several occasions after he was arrested on three misdemeanor counts<\/a>, following an altercation in which he was stabbed and another unidentified man suffered lacerations.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a statement read by multiple Fox Sports<\/a> anchors, they said, \u201cFriday night in Indianapolis, one of our team members, Mark Sanchez, was involved in an incident that we\u2019re still trying to wrap our heads around. At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, his family, and all of those involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe latest statement comes after Sanchez was one of two injured people on a street in downtown Indianapolis, where police responded to a call around 12:30am, according to TMZ. The New York Jets alum was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n

\n\tIndianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has since announced that Sanchez was arrested at the hospital on counts of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, all of which are misdemeanors. Officers said the other man allegedly stabbed Sanchez while defending himself during a fight, according to IndyStar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition,\u201d Fox previously shared in a statement<\/a> on Saturday. \u201cWe are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support.
