{"id":203822,"date":"2025-10-05T19:45:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T19:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/203822\/"},"modified":"2025-10-05T19:45:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T19:45:07","slug":"vikings-missed-field-goal-apparently-struck-a-cable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/203822\/","title":{"rendered":"Vikings missed field goal apparently struck a cable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Before the Vikings scored a game-winning touchdown with 25 seconds to play, they had a chance to tie the London game against the Browns at 17 with just under 10 minutes to go.<\/p>\n<p>The 51-yard field goal attempt by Vikings kicker Will Reichard went wide right. <\/p>\n<p>Videos of the kick seem to indicate that the kick <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/skycam-interference-rule-was-misapplied-in-cowboys-jets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">struck a camera cable<\/a>. The ball moves, and the camera wobbles.<\/p>\n<p>If noticed \u2014 and if the rule had been correctly applied \u2014 Reichard would have gotten another opportunity to convert.<\/p>\n<p>If the Vikings had lost the game, it would be a much bigger issue. It should still be a thing.
