Penny Lancaster<\/a> is all for love when it comes to her stepdaughter.<\/p>\n

The 54-year-old revealed that she came to the aid of her husband Rod Stewart<\/a>‘s daughter Kimberly Stewart<\/a> when she wasn’t naturally producing enough milk to breast feed her and ex Benicio Del Toro’s daughter Delilah Del Toro<\/a>, now 13.<\/p>\n

At the time, Penny\u2014who tied the knot with Rod, 80, in 2007\u2014was also breastfeeding her and the musician’s son Aiden Stewart, now 14, though she wasn’t experiencing the same issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a real motherhood bonding moment,\u201d she told The Times<\/a> in an interview published Sept. 29. \u201cThe breastfeeding nurse said, \u2018In a perfect world, you\u2019d know someone who\u2019s breastfeeding,\u2019 and everyone turned to look at me.”<\/p>\n

After some consideration, Penny\u2014who also shares son Alastair Stewart, 19, with Rod\u2014agreed to lend some of her own milk to Kimberly, 46, who she described as initially being “wary” of welcoming her into their blended family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember thinking, \u2018What\u2019s the most important thing for this child?\u2019” she recalled. “I knew my milk would give her the nutrients and antibodies she needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Penny’s bond with Kimberly\u2014who announced she was pregnant with her second baby earlier this year\u2014isn’t the only relationship in her life that has taken a turn for the better.<\/p>\n

In fact, the former model revealed that she’s also buried a longtime feud with Rod’s ex-wife Rachel Hunter, with whom he shares daughter Renee Stewart, 33, and son Liam Stewart, 31. (Rod is also dad to kids Sarah Streeter, 61, Sean Stewart, 45, and Ruby Stewart, 38, from past relationships.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a bloody long journey,\u201d Penny admitted. \u201cWhen Rachel and I first met, it was like we were on different planets.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the two women have since found common ground and formed a “special relationship.” As she put it, “We have so much in common. Not only have we loved the same man but we have these lovely, beautiful children.\u201d<\/p>\n

And as for Penny’s relationship with Rod? She’s confident that they have plenty more years of marriage ahead of them.<\/p>\n

“He decided he wanted to try and be the fastest 80-year-old, so he built a 200m sprinting track in our garden so he could practice,” she said. “He\u2019s just like a teenager. He\u2019s living it to the full. We\u2019re trying to keep up with him but he sets the bar.”<\/p>\n

Penny added, “He\u2019s promised me 20 years, so I\u2019m seeing 100.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Heidi\u2014who married Tom the following year\u2014made it clear she’s going to continue living life on her terms.<\/p>\n

“You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think,” the supermodel continued, “because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles.” <\/p>\n

“People gave us a lot of s–t about that<\/a> and still do,” Priyanka told InStyle<\/a>. “I find it really amazing when you flip it and the guy is older, no one cares and actually people like it.”<\/p>\n

Sam even pointed out her relationship with Aaron has lasted longer than her marriage to her ex-husband Jay Jopling, who is about four years older than she is.<\/p>\n

And while Kristin said she understands how \u201cit looks to the outside world,\u201d she insisted Mark is \u201cnot a typical 24-year-old\u201d and that there\u2019s more to a person than their birth year. <\/p>\n

\u201cI really think age is just a number,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt\u2019s what you\u2019ve been through in your life, how you were raised. There are just so many factors that go into maturity other than age.\u201d<\/p>\n

But months later, Kristin shared she broke up with Mark.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just know long-term he needs to experience life,\u201d she said on an October episode of her podcast. \u201cHe\u2019s young. He is. I started to feel the age a bit just with life experience. I look back when I was 24 and how much life has happened for me in between then. Those are crucial years. Those are formative years. This is when you find yourself and he needs to be able to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, she called their romance “the best relationship” of her life and expressed hope that Mark will realize their split was for the best.<\/p>\n

“I know that one day he will look back and he will understand it,” she added, “and I actually think one day he will thank me.”<\/p>\n
