These advanced technologies not only rely on seamless Wi-Fi, but they often require Bluetooth connectivity and 802.15.4 radios to connect devices to the cloud and to each other.<\/p>\n<p>The IW610 IoT Optimized Wi-Fi 6 Tri-Radio Module family from NXP Semiconductors is designed to merge the connectivity solutions of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth LE, and 802.15.4 radio.<\/p>\n<p>As IoT devices continue to shrink in size with the expectation of advancing power, the W610 radio modules are designed as compact wireless communication solutions that support high-speed data rates, long-range communication, and Thread mesh networking for modern IoT solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The IW610 IoT Optimized Wi-Fi 6 Tri-Radio Modules in Action<\/p>\n<p>The Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) capabilities of the tri-radio modules include a 1\u00d71 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 radio (2.4\u202fGHz and 5\u202fGHz) with integrated PA, LNA, and T\/R switch, capable of up to +23\u202fdBm transmit power, as well as:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t20\u202fMHz channel operation&#13;<br \/>\n\tWi-Fi 6 Target Wake Time (TWT)&#13;<br \/>\n\tExtended Range (ER) and Dual Carrier Modulation (DCM)&#13;<br \/>\n\tLow-power idle, standby, and sleep modes&#13;<br \/>\n\tWPA2\/WPA3 security and support for Matter over Wi-Fi&#13;<br \/>\n\tAntenna diversity&#13;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-20251006064716-1.png\" style=\"height: 141px; width: 400px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>For Bluetooth, the modules support:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tBluetooth Low Energy 5.4&#13;<br \/>\n\t1\u202fMbps and 2\u202fMbps uncoded high-speed modes&#13;<br \/>\n\tLong-range operation with 125\u202fkbps and 500\u202fkbps coded data rates&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The integrated 802.15.4 radio supports:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tMAC layer compliant with IEEE 802.15.4-2015&#13;<br \/>\n\tMatter over Thread for mesh networking and smart-home interoperability&#13;<\/p>\n<p>For coexistence &amp; power management, the modules are designed to support:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tInternal coexistence between Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, and 802.15.4&#13;<br \/>\n\tExternal coexistence interface for additional radios, such as LTE&#13;<br \/>\n\tDeep-sleep and low-power modes, with wake-up through GPIO, host interface, or timers&#13;<br \/>\n\tIntegrated high-efficiency buck DC-DC converter&#13;<br \/>\n\tOne-Time Programmable (OTP) memory for MAC address and calibration data&#13;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-20251006064716-2.png\" style=\"height: 281px; width: 500px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Getting Started with the IW610 IoT Optimized Wi-Fi 6 Tri-Radio Modules<\/p>\n<p>For security, the IW610 IoT modules target SESIP Level\u202f3 and comply with IEC\u201162443 and RED article\u202f3(3) standards.
