The snaps show the 17-year-old actor appearing more like a young man, opposite of the boy fans have seen on screen.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIncomprehensible drip from 1823,\u201d Armitage wrote in the caption.\u00a0<\/p>\n Armitage\u2019s comments were flooded with fans’ shocked reactions.<\/p>\n \u201cOur young Sheldon is not so young anymore,\u201d a fan commented.<\/p>\n \u201cOh Sheldon! He captured the hearts of longtime fans of The Big Bang Theory<\/a> in his role as young Sheldon Cooper in the spinoff, prequel series.<\/p>\n When Young Sheldon premiered in September 2017, Armitage was just 9 years old. He was 8 when he first auditioned for what he later called the \u201cmost fun job in the world.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI’m sure it seems like hard work, but I’ve been so lucky<\/a>. It’s the easiest, most fun job in the world,” the actor told PEOPLE in October 2024 when speaking on the show ending. “I get to play for a living, and I feel so honored and lucky to get to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n Young Sheldon ended in May 2024, when Armitage was 15 years old.
