The Diamondbacks<\/a> are hoping to keep most of manager Torey Lovullo\u2019s coaching staff intact for 2026, with general manager Mike Hazen saying everyone will be offered a chance to remain in the organization in some capacity.<\/p>\n

Coaches in the most high-profile roles \u2014 including bench coach Jeff Banister, hitting coach Joe Mather and pitching coach Brian Kaplan \u2014 are expected to be given the chance to return to their same positions.<\/p>\n

Hazen said the club was \u201cstill working through a couple of things\u201d with the remainder of the staff. One question is whether third-base coach Tim Bogar, who took over for Shaun Larkin in August, will return. He began this season in a roving coordinator position in the minor leagues.<\/p>\n

Larkin is expected to remain on staff in the same role he had over the final month of the season as the infield coach.<\/p>\n

Lovullo said during an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 last week that he believes the team will benefit from stability on the coaching staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did bring in four new coaches this past year, and that\u2019s not a reason for growing pains or making mistakes early, but there was some newness,\u201d Lovullo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very unique trying to get to know this many coaches, me personally, the coaches to the players. I feel like if we bring back the same staff, we\u2019re going to hit on all cylinders the minute we walk into spring training next year. And that\u2019s even starting earlier. They\u2019re going to be able to have these relationships with players that they\u2019ve already established over the past year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lovullo\u2019s job status was up in the air immediately after the season, but the organization ultimately decided to bring him back. He will enter 2026 in the final season of his contract.<\/p>\n

As for the rest of the coaches, some are already signed into next season and beyond, while others are on expiring deals and need to be re-upped.<\/p>\n
