Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova will face off for the first time in the Wimbledon final, with both women in pursuit of a maiden title at the All England Club. <\/p>\n

Anisimova knocked out top seed Aryna Sabalenka<\/a> to book her place in a Grand Slam final for the first time in her career. <\/p>\n

The American became the first from her country to reach the championship match in SW19 since Serena Williams<\/a> in 2019.<\/p>\n

In the other semi-final, Swiatek dominated Belinda Bencic<\/a> to advance, and is now the only active WTA<\/a> player to appear in a major final on all three surfaces.<\/p>\n

Having not found much success at Wimbledon<\/a> in the past, the Pole\u2019s game has finally translated to grass, and former champion Marion Bartoli<\/a> thinks there\u2019s a big reason for her improvement this year. <\/p>\n

Speaking on 6-Love-6<\/a>, Bartoli said of Swiatek: \u201cI think the weather this year has been helping her massively in terms of her game style, because she has so much time to hit that forehand.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, she was just incredible from the back of the court. She was almost not missing a ball, playing so aggressive.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn return of serve, she got a rating of 9.8 out of 10. She just could not miss her returns, playing so aggressive.<\/p>\n

\u201cBencic was not serving at her highest, but I don\u2019t think it was necessarily a bad match for Belinda. It was just that Iga came out of the blocks striking, and striking from every corner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swiatek came into the championships having made the final of the Bad Homburg Open, where she ultimately lost to Jessica Pegula<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In her first match at Wimbledon, she earned a comfortable straight-sets victory over Polina Kudermetova.<\/p>\n

Then, Swiatek sealed back-to-back victories against Americans, beating Caty McNally and Danielle Collins to reach the fourth round. <\/p>\n

The five-time Grand Slam champion defeated Clara Tauson in round four and triumphed over Liudmila Samsonova in the quarter-final to reach the final four at Wimbledon for the first time in her career. <\/p>\n
