\u201cThe Daily Show\u201d once again put President Donald Trump on blast \u2014 this time for his decision to name drop Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/a> as a way to avoid answering a Ghislaine Maxwell<\/a> pardon question.<\/p>\n

Host Josh Johnson broke down the awkward Oval Office comment<\/a> during Tuesday\u2019s episode, where he called out Trump for playing dumb over Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s longtime associate and convicted co-conspirator.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018I haven\u2019t heard the name in so long?\u2019\u201d Johnson repeated in disbelief. \u201cShe\u2019s not asking you about the Baha Men. You\u2019re over here being like, \u2018Who? Who? Who? Who?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

As he went on, Johnson highlighted the numerous times Trump has been asked about Maxwell and her hope for a presidential pardon this summer.<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThat was all summer long. People say 2025 didn\u2019t have a summer song of the year. But no, the song of the summer was the reporters asking Donald Trump about Ghislaine Maxwell. If it was eligible, it would\u2019ve been number one on Billboard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson then ripped into Trump for trying to save face by saying he\u2019d have to \u201ctake a look\u201d at the case. \u201cThe only way to phrase that worse is, \u2018now I gotta see this,\u2019\u201d he quipped. \u201cNone of that went well. None of that was ideal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet, as Johnson pointed out, things took an even worse turn when Trump chose to bring up Diddy (or, as the president called him, Puff Daddy)\u2019s desire for a pardon. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo, wait, you don\u2019t remember Ghislaine, but you remember that we used to call Diddy \u2018Puff Daddy?\u2019 That was nine names ago,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cAll you had to do is mention someone else who was not convicted of sex crimes, which is most people. And you chose Diddy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Trump has actively tried to distance himself from the Epstein case, especially after claiming the files were fake and a \u201choax\u201d created by Democrats earlier this year.<\/p>\n
