\t\t\t\tThe Museum of Computing in Theatre Square is putting a spooky spin on its collection for Halloween.<\/p>\n
Byte Night on Friday 31 of October is a special after-hours event which will transform the museum into a hauntingly fun experience, inviting guests to explore the history of technology with a spine-tingling atmosphere.<\/p>\n
From 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the public will have a rare opportunity to roam the gallery after dark.<\/p>\n
The night’s main attraction is a variety of spooky-themed games on a range of consoles and home computers, from 1980s retro classics to indie horror hits from the 2000s.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Guests will get exclusive access to games not usually available to the public within the museum, with a focus on digital ghosts, zombies, and monsters.<\/p>\n
Beyond the games, the museum will be filled with a chilling atmosphere designed to delight tech enthusiasts and Halloween lovers alike. Visitors are encouraged to come in costume and capture their best selfies among the historic machines.<\/p>\n
“We wanted to offer a unique and memorable way to celebrate Halloween,” said Keith Mortimer, Chief Curator at The Museum of Computing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Byte Night is a chance to see our incredible collection in a new light, merging the nostalgia of retro gaming with the fun of a classic Halloween night out.”<\/p>\n
