Moises Caicedo is starting to get the kind of recognition that his world-class Chelsea displays deserve.<\/p>\n

Chelsea fans who watch Moises Caicedo<\/a>, 23, will know that his impressive form at the start of the 2025-26 campaign is nothing new. Last season, the midfield powerhouse was such a consistent performer at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Gary Neville\u2019s verdict on Caicedo<\/a> is that he\u2019s currently the best midfielder in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s played every minute so far in the top flight, where he\u2019s renowned for breaking up play and covering huge distances. On top of that, he\u2019s shown an attacking threat this season by scoring three goals in seven league matches.<\/p>\n

Chelsea paid a mammoth \u00a3115m (Sky Sports<\/a>) to sign Caicedo from Brighton in 2023. After a challenging debut season with the Blues, he really found his feet last year as he began to justify his price tag.<\/p>\n

According to Frank Leboeuf<\/a>, the Ecuador international could well be worth \u00a3200m with how exceptional he\u2019s playing.<\/p>\n

When discussing Blues midfielder Caicedo, Leboeuf told ESPN: \u201cRemember the first season, they paid \u00a3100m and we were wondering, is he worth it? But now he is worth more than that, even double of that. That guy gives such work and business in the middle of the park that for the others it is simpler.\u201d<\/p>\n

Caicedo is currently under contract at Chelsea until 2031, so fans should feel confident that they\u2019ve got many more years to enjoy the combative midfielder.<\/p>\n

He looks so comfortable playing in central midfield next to Enzo Fernandez. Similarly, the Blues look even more formidable when you throw Romeo Lavia into the mix as well.<\/p>\n

John Obi Mikel said Caicedo is worth every penny<\/a> because of how well he\u2019s playing for his club.<\/p>\n

Our one concern regarding the midfielder is the risk of injury because of the high workload across the past last year, which is why it\u2019s a relief he\u2019s been afforded some rest by Ecuador during October\u2019s international break. <\/p>\n

Back in the summer, Chelsea defender Levi Colwill insisted Caicedo would become elite<\/a> and one of the world\u2019s very best midfielders. He said: \u201cI\u2019ve played with him for a couple of years now, and I\u2019d put my house on him becoming one of the best midfielders in the world. I don\u2019t know how he\u2019s that good, but he just is. He\u2019s an absolute joke of a player.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fairness, Colwill\u2019s claim already doesn\u2019t look too far off.<\/p>\n

We will see over time if Caicedo can maintain this ridiculously high level, especially in the Champions League.
