MAGA-loving Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a> got some rare praise from the progressive hosts of ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View<\/a>\u201d on Thursday.<\/p>\n

They extolled the Georgia congresswoman, long one of the left\u2019s favorite targets, for her calls to extend Obamacare subsidies amid the government shutdown.<\/p>\n

Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> lauded Greene as \u201ca very surprising voice of reason.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe seems to be the only one responding to her constituents, because her constituents are saying, \u2018Excuse me, we are being affected by what\u2019s happening here.\u2019\u201d the host said of the pol. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd, you know, she\u2019s in not a rich district. She\u2019s in a poor district, and her people said, \u2018This is affecting us. Either you get us some help, or we\u2019re going to put you out. This is your job.’\u201d<\/p>\n

She and the other hosts seemed to surprise themselves.<\/p>\n

Greene \u201cis the voice of reason here. What the hell is going on?\u201d Goldberg remarked.<\/p>\n

Joy Behar<\/a> jumped in, saying the congresswoman \u201calso has a couple of kids who need \u2013 the insurance premiums are going up, so it\u2019s very personal to her. You know, I\u2019ll take it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greene \u2014 a diehard supporter of President Trump<\/a> \u2014 has unexpectedly sided with Democrats on the main sticking point during the fight over the current government shutdown. <\/p>\n

She agrees with their calls to extend enhanced tax credits for people to buy health insurance through Obamacare.<\/p>\n

Whoopi Goldberg lauded Greene as \u201ca very surprising voice of reason.\u201d ABC<\/p>\n

In a post on X on Monday, Greene said she is \u201cnot a fan\u201d of the program, adding that she was not in Congress when the 44th president\u2019s signature legislation became law in 2010.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019m going to go against everyone on this issue because when the tax credits expire this year my own adult children\u2019s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE, along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

On \u201cThe View\u201d on Thursday, Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/a> joked, \u201cIt\u2019s a dark day when Marjorie Taylor Greene is the voice of reason.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you know what they say about a blind squirrel, so I completely agree with her,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

After Goldberg admitted she\u2019d never heard the saying, Griffin explained: \u201cA blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greene also got an unusual shoutout on CNN\u2019s \u201cThe Situation Room\u201d on Thursday. <\/p>\n

Wolf Blitzer gushed over the right-wing politician, calling her a \u201ccourageous politician\u201d and \u201cloving mother.\u201d CNN<\/p>\n

She went on the show to discuss her fight for the release of files on Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, the notorious sex offender who killed himself in a New York prison cell in 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis involves women who were raped. Women at 14 years old \u2014 14 years old \u2014 who were raped and they say there\u2019s more people involved. I don\u2019t know how anyone in their good conscience can be against letting that information come out,\u201d Greene told Blitzer and co-host Pamela Brown.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

She added that she has received \u201ca tremendous amount of death threats\u201d and that the menacing messages increase \u201cwhen you speak about certain issues.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I say I am seriously concerned for my life and I say if something ever happens to me \u2014 I really mean it,\u201d Greene said.<\/p>\n

She\u2019d recently written on social media, \u201cif something happens to me \u2026 find out which foreign government or powerful people would take heinous actions to stop the information from coming out.\u201d<\/p>\n

CNN\u2019s Wolf Blitzer<\/a> fawned over Greene on his show.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re a courageous politician but, more importantly, a loving mother,\u201d he said. \u201cThanks very much for coming in.
