A development proposal in Willetton is set to be a game-changer, with plans to turn a humble warehouse on Kembla Way into a modern gaming facility featuring virtual reality.<\/p>\n

The proponents behind the venture have lodged a development application with the City of Canning to change the use of the property from \u2018warehouse\/storage\u2019 to \u2018recreation – private\u2019.<\/p>\n

They say it will become a \u201cmodern indoor facility where participants engage in physically active gaming experiences, such as virtual reality , augmented reality and interactive motion-based games\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe space is designed to promote physical activity, entertainment<\/a>, and social interaction in a safe, supervised environment,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n

Plans submitted by Cobu Designs show five active gaming rooms, as well as a reception and foyer, staff room, kitchen and toilets.<\/p>\n

The site at 26 Kembla Way is also sure to attract the attention of potential school-aged customers, being located next to Uniform Concepts, which supplies uniforms to schools from throughout the district.<\/p>\n

It currently houses wholesale fashion agent The Fashion Firm.<\/p>\n

The proposed operating hours are Mondays to Fridays 3pm to 10pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 10pm.<\/p>\n

The maximum number of customers planned at any one time is 20, with just one employee proposed to be on site.<\/p>\n
