New Hampshire Supreme Court Justice Anna Barbara Hantz Marconi has had her license to practice law reinstated. <\/p>\n
Hantz Marconi is now authorized to resume her judicial duties after entering a no-contest plea to a misdemeanor charge Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The state Attorney Discipline Office, which had suspended her license during the case, issued a statement Tuesday afternoon:<\/p>\n
“We conclude that criminal solicitation (misuse of position) is not a ‘serious crime’ because it does not include, as a necessary element, interference with the administration of justice, false swearing, misrepresentation, fraud, deceit, bribery, extortion, misappropriation, or theft. Accordingly, we lift the respondent’s interim suspension and reinstate her to the practice of law, effective immediately.” <\/p>\n
