Gene Simmons\u2019 wife, Shannon Tweed, says it may be time for him to make some lifestyle changes after his recent car accident, admitting she no longer wants to be in the passenger seat when he drives.<\/p>\n

Tweed, 68, told TMZ<\/a> on October 9, that after Simmons, 76, lost consciousness while driving down Pacific Coast Highway and crashed his SUV into a parked car in Malibu this week, she told herself, \u201cI\u2019m not driving with him anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Falcon Crest alum has not yet told Simmons directly that she thinks it is time for him to stop driving, but she plans to enlist their children, son Nicholas and daughter Sophie, to convince him in the coming days. She told the outlet that the family had already suggested he hire a driver after an earlier incident in which he rammed his car into a brick wall while driving in Los Angeles\u2019 Benedict Canyon.<\/p>\n

According to Tweed, Simmons passed out while driving his Lincoln Navigator on Pacific Coast Highway, veered into oncoming traffic, crossed several lanes, and eventually hit a parked car. He was transported to a hospital, treated, and later discharged. No one was injured.<\/p>\n

As the National Enquirer previously reported, Tweed attributed the incident<\/a> to dehydration, telling TMZ<\/a> that Simmons recently started a new medication and \u201chates to drink water.\u201d She added that the airbags in his SUV did not deploy, which concerned her.<\/p>\n

Moving forward, the former model said she is comfortable with Simmons taking short drives but considers freeway driving off-limits. Tweed also noted that her husband came away \u201cwithout a scratch\u201d and spent the day on the phone as if nothing had happened. The SUV was not totaled, though its bumper was left hanging.<\/p>\n
