{"id":215517,"date":"2025-10-11T00:16:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-11T00:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/215517\/"},"modified":"2025-10-11T00:16:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T00:16:07","slug":"amc-networks-ceo-kristin-dolan-extends-contract-through-2028","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/215517\/","title":{"rendered":"AMC Networks CEO Kristin Dolan Extends Contract Through 2028"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/amc-networks\/\" id=\"auto-tag_amc-networks_1\" data-tag=\"amc-networks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AMC Networks<\/a> has inked a contract extension with CEO Kristin Dolan, keeping the executive at the helm of the media company through 2028.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDolan was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/amc-networks-names-ceo-2-1235273375\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">named CEO <\/a>of AMC Networks in February 2023, assuming leadership of the company that is controlled by her husband James Dolan\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cKristin has done a remarkable job leading AMC Networks through this period of change and has the operational background that makes her ideally suited to this role,\u201d said James Dolan, who remains chairman of AMC Networks. \u201cHer focus on partnerships, profitability and technology has established a clear path forward.\u00a0We look forward to her continued strategic leadership and management of our company\u2019s strong content and brands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDolan has repositioned the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/amc-networks-streaming-subscribers-amid-linear-headwinds-1236340148\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">around its niche streaming offerings<\/a>, and pursued a strategy built around making its content and IP as widely accessible as possible. That includes its linear channels, its streaming services, and deals with third-parties like Netflix, with the two companies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/netflix-amc-extend-streaming-deal-orphan-black-1236368384\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">extending their streaming pact<\/a> for the \u201cAMC Collection\u201d last month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOf course, linear TV\u2019s challenges still weigh on the company, which is trying to navigate the rapidly-changing environment without the must-see sports content that many larger media companies have.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDolan\u2019s new contract with AMC Networks keeps her base salary at $2 million, rising to $2.1 million next April. She is also eligible for a bonus valued at 200 percent her base salary and annual grants of cash and\/or equity awards with an annual aggregate target value of not less than $8 million.
