Comcast announced plans to bring symmetrical high-speed internet to more than 7,500 homes and businesses across Teays Valley, West Virginia, expanding service into Hurricane and Scott Depot.<\/p>\n
Construction has begun in both communities: Hurricane will see more than 5,000 addresses connected, with the first serviceable addresses expected in early 2026, while Scott Depot will add more than 2,500 addresses and already has service available to some residents.<\/p>\n
The company said the full project will finish in 2028.<\/p>\n
Comcast framed the rollout<\/a> as part of a broader push to extend its converged network that it already offers to more than 64 million U.S. homes and businesses.<\/p>\n Local officials welcomed the investment. Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards said Comcast\u2019s expansion will help residents navigate a technology\u2011driven economy and make the area more attractive for living and working.<\/p>\n Comcast also emphasized programs aimed at boosting adoption and digital skills alongside the infrastructure work.
