Florida’s Friday availability report ahead of the Gators’ Week 7 matchup with the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies, and Ja’Kobi Jackson is the lone player listed as questionable. Florida<\/a> has ruled out four players \u2013 Devon Manuel<\/a>, Roderick Kearney<\/a>, Tony Livingston<\/a> and Muizz Tounkara<\/a> \u2013 initially listed as questionable on the previous availability reports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Gators previously ruled running backs\u00a0Duke Clark<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Treyaun Webb<\/a>,\u00a0defensive lineman\u00a0Caleb Banks<\/a>, defensive back\u00a0Aaron Gates<\/a>, cornerback\u00a0Dijon Johnson<\/a>\u00a0and EDGE\u00a0LJ McCray<\/a>\u00a0out of their Week 7 contest on Wednesday. On Thursday, a pair of player initially listed as questionable \u2013 third-year wide receiver Aidan Mizell<\/a> and freshman defensive lineman Joseph Mbatchou<\/a> \u2013 were removed from the injury report, indicating they’re set to take the field Saturday night against the Aggies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Initially, Clark, Mizell, Kearney, Manuel and Livingston each marked new additions to Florida’s availability report this week, while Tounkara and Mbatchou joined the list last week and ultimately missed Florida’s Week 6 win over Texas. Mizell had previously missed UF’s matchup with Miami<\/a> in Week 4, but returned to catch four passes for 18 yards against Texas<\/a> in Week 6, having previously indicated he was dealing with a minor injury behind the scenes which had impacted his consistent availability.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I’m a little banged up. Just some little\u00a0stuff happened after I scored the\u00a0touchdown, but nothing too bad. But yeah.\u00a0It\u00a0looks bad, but, I mean, it’s hard when people don’t know everything that’s going on behind the scenes,” Mizell said on Sept. 17. “A lot of people get blamed\u00a0for this and that.”<\/p>\n

With Jackson questionable and Clark ruled out, the Gators will presumably see second-year rusher KD Daniels play an elevated role against the Aggies.<\/p>\n

“KD is a really good football player. He’s got great instincts. He plays fast. He’s productive when given opportunities, he’s maximized those,” said Florida head coach Billy Napier<\/a> on Wednesday. “So obviously with injuries, come opportunity, and certainly he’ll be right in the mix here.”<\/p>\n

McCray had surgery following UF’s 18-16 loss against USF<\/a> to repair a broken bone in his foot, a source familiar with McCray’s situation told Swamp247, and his return to the field remains unclear. Johnson suffered a season-ending injury, a torn meniscus which required surgery to repair, in UF’s 26-7 loss at Miami.<\/p>\n

Banks played 29 snaps in UF’s 20-10 loss at LSU<\/a> before exiting, and he\u00a0underwent surgery on his foot in Birmingham, Alabama<\/a>, in the days that followed the loss to the Tigers. Banks has been observed in a cast and on a scooter, and it’s unclear whether or not he’ll be able to return in his final collegiate season. Gates had surgery to repair a torn labrum following Florida’s loss at Miami.<\/p>\n

Notably, quarterback\u00a0DJ Lagway<\/a>\u00a0is not present on Florida’s availability report, after playing through an apparent leg injury against Texas on Saturday, which briefly required him to enter the team’s medical tent and be tended to by trainers. Lagway missed significant offseason practice time due to throwing shoulder, core muscle and calf ailments.<\/p>\n

The Aggies on Wednesday ruled safety Jarred Kerr<\/a> out of Week 7, and deemed linebacker Scooby Williams<\/a> questionable for the game. Williams was upgraded to probable on Thursday, while Kerr was upgraded to questionable, and tight end\u00a0Kiotti Armstrong<\/a> was ruled out. Notably, Kerr was upgraded from out to probable on Friday’s availability report.\u00a0<\/p>\n
