After five seasons, the franchise moved to San Antonio where they spent a decade as the Silver Stars before shortening it to Stars. In 2018, the franchise mobved again, this time to Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Hammon spent the second half of her WNBA playing career in San Antonio. I had the fortune of witnessing her final game as well as attending her retirement ceremony.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">She wasted no time after retirement, joining Gregg Popovich\u2019s staff as an assistant coach in 2014. In 2022, she left the Spurs to head coach the Aces, where she has found major success.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Hammon is the only WNBA player to have her jersey hanging in the rafters in San Antonio. Her #25 was retired by the Stars.
