She closed the regular season on a heater as she averaged 26.1 points, 12 rebounds and 2.3 blocks during a 16-game winning streak for the Aces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">That incredible run vaulted Wilson to the top of the MVP ballot by what <a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong css-lu48cp\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wnba.com\/news\/wilson-2025-mvp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">proved to be<\/a> a sizable margin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Collier had to settle for a second straight runner-up finish and her fourth All-WNBA nod.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The 29-year-old was once again a two-way force, averaging 22.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks. She also shot 40.3 percent from beyond the arc on a career-high 124 attempts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Thomas likewise continued to be an elite playmaker and disruptor. Few players have been as consistent in recent years as thhe six-time All-Star, who has had five straight top-five finishes in the MVP balloting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">In her first season with the Mercury, she averaged the second-most assists (9.2) in a season while scoring 15.4 points and grabbing 8.8 boards per game.
