The latest Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings were released<\/a> following a wild Week 7 of college football. There were upsets, close calls and blowouts!<\/p>\n

So as we usually say, it was a typical week of college football. One thing\u2019s for sure, the rankings were shaken up so have fun debating these.<\/p>\n

So without further ado, let\u2019s dive into the latest Coaches Poll rankings. We\u2019ll start at the top.<\/p>\n

Ohio State remained at the top of the Coaches Poll this week following another win. This time, the Buckeyes dominated Illinois on the road to remain undefeated.<\/p>\n

Julian Sayin tossed two touchdowns and threw for 166 yards. The running game struggled a bit, but did enough as CJ Donaldson scored twice on the ground.<\/p>\n

Miami stayed high up the Coaches Poll on a bye week and sit pretty at 5-0 on the season. They beat Florida State last week, which doesn\u2019t look as good right now.<\/p>\n

The Hurricanes are the class of the ACC right now and they\u2019ll look to continue that trend going into Week 8. They\u2019ll take on Louisville Friday night.<\/p>\n

Indiana is awesome. Simple as that. The Hoosiers went into Eugene and beat Oregon 30-20 to argue that they are the best team in the Big Ten.<\/p>\n

Ohio State and the Coaches Poll might say otherwise, but Curt Cignetti and crew are for real. This isn\u2019t the team from last season. This squad is better.<\/p>\n

Texas A&M just takes care of business at this point. The Aggies are 6-0 after a 34-17 win over Florida at home with a balanced approach.<\/p>\n

It was 14-14 after the first quarter, but Mike Elko\u2019s crew just kept grinding. This is a true SEC contender high up the Coaches Poll.<\/p>\n

It almost happened this weekend folks. Ole Miss almost had \u201cthat\u201d game under Lane Kiffin, a complete scratch your head type of game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But, the Rebels beat Washington State and remained undefeated on the season. Kiffin and crew are 6-0 and tied for the top spot in the SEC while staying high up the Coaches Poll.<\/p>\n

Alabama won its fifth game in a row and this squad is firmly a top 10 team in the Coaches Poll. They hung against Missouri, but it was a great SEC battle.<\/p>\n

Kalen DeBoer has truly turned this team around after a dismal Week 1 loss to Florida State. The question is, can they keep it rolling?<\/p>\n

Georgia beat Auburn on the road in a low scoring affair but nonetheless, kept their win streak rolling. Kirby Smart and crew have bounced back nicely since losing to Alabama.<\/p>\n

With that, they are 5-1 at the halfway point and are still in the top 10 of the Coaches Poll. Next Saturday will be a massive matchup at home vs. Ole Miss.<\/p>\n

Texas Tech dominated Kansas en route to a 6-0 start to the season. Now halfway through, we can definitely acknowledge the Red Raiders are for real.<\/p>\n

This is definitely the best team in the Big 12 and it\u2019s their conference to lose. The College Football Playoff path is clearly in sight.<\/p>\n

Oregon fell in the Coaches Poll this week after a loss to Indiana. But, they stayed in the top 10 because this is still a darn good football team.<\/p>\n

Dan Lanning will have a chance to get his team right with a trip to Rutgers next week. But there\u2019s no doubt this first loss of the year will sting.<\/p>\n

10. LSU<\/a> (+1)<\/p>\n

Hey, remember LSU? Well the Tigers improved to 5-1 on the year with a 20-10 win over South Carolina.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t overly impressive, but they\u2019re in the top 10 of the Coaches Poll this week. QB Garrett Nussmeier was uneven, but did enough while the defense was elite, forcing two turnovers and limiting the Gamecocks to 10 points.<\/p>\n
