Marvel Comics has announced the end of the Ultimate Universe, which will take place in 2026 with five final issues.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Those final issues will be\u00a0Ultimate Spider-Man #24, written by Jonathan Hickman, art and cover by Marco Checchetto, out December 24Ultimate Black Panther #24, written by Bryan Hill, art and cover by Stefano Caselli, out January 21Ultimate X-Men #24, written, art, and cover by Peach Momoko, out February 11Ultimates #24, written by Deniz Camp, art by Juan Frigeri, cover by Dike Ruan, out AprilUltimate Wolverine #16, written by Chris Condon, art and cover by Alessandro Cappuccio, out April\u00a0<\/p>\n

This version of the Ultimate Universe began with Ultimate Invasion in June 2023 (see “Hickman and Hitch Revive Ultimate Universe<\/a>“) and will conclude with the five-issue Ultimate Endgame (see “‘Ultimate Endgame’ Announced<\/a>“), as announced at the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year. In that event story, the Maker is released from captivity. \u00a0Ultimate Endgame #1 will also feature the first-ever Marvel Blind Bags (see “Marvel Plans Blind Bags<\/a>“).<\/p>\n

This isn’t the end of Ultimate Universe effects, however, as Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion #5, out this month, shows Miles Morales returning to the core Marvel universe with some “Origin Boxes,” the Maker’s tool for capturing the powers of superheroes.<\/p>\n
