Names are flying fast \u2013 from proven winners to up-and-comers and everyone in between \u2013 as tension begins to build.<\/p>\n<p>The Hokies&#8217;s widely publicized investment into football, a fertile recruiting ground, storied tradition within the program, and a passionate fan base combine to make Virginia Tech&#8217;s opening intriguing to coaches from across the country. But expectations of elevating the program back to the national stage necessitate a high-stakes decision &#8211; one the committee knows it must get right.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past week, speculation has circulated about dozens of contenders, but who is actually in play for the position?
