\n\tKeanu Reeves<\/a> is remembering Something\u2019s Gotta Give co-star Diane Keaton<\/a> following the news of her death on Saturday<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tWhile premiering his new film Good Fortune in New York, Reeves reflected on their time together, telling The Hollywood Reporter, \u201cI had the wonderful opportunity to work with her and she was a very special artist and person. Very unique and just what a wonderful artist.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe two starred together in Nancy Meyers<\/a>\u2018 2003 rom-com, with Keaton\u2019s playwright\u00a0Erica Barry juggling the affections of both a charming young doctor (Reeves) and a wealthy record company owner (Jack Nicholson). Keaton was nominated for an Oscar for the role, and the pair also reunited as presenters at the 2020 Academy Awards. <\/p>\n

\n\tReeves\u2019 comments come just a few hours after Meyers took to social media for her own tribute<\/a>, writing on Instagram<\/a> after the outpouring of reactions<\/a>, \u201cAs a movie lover, I\u2019m with you all \u2014 we have lost a giant. A brilliant actress who time and again laid herself bare to tell our stories. As a woman, I lost a friend of almost 40 years \u2014 at times over those years, she felt like a sister because we shared so many truly memorable experiences. As a filmmaker, I\u2019ve lost a connection with an actress that one can only dream of.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe filmmaker also specifically referenced Something\u2019s Gotta Give in her post, remembering, \u201cWhen I needed her to cry in scene after scene in Something\u2019s Gotta Give, she went at it hard and then somehow made it funny. And I remember she would sometimes spin in a kind of goofy circle before a take to purposely get herself off balance or whatever she needed to shed so she could be in the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShe was fearless, she was like nobody ever, she was born to be a movie star, her laugh could make your day and for me, knowing her and working with her \u2014 changed my life,\u201d Meyers continued. \u201cThank you Di. I\u2019ll miss you forever.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAMC Theatres\u00a0is also bringing back\u00a0<\/a>Annie Hall\u00a0and\u00a0Something\u2019s Gotta Give\u00a0to 100 cinemas across the U.S. in Keaton\u2019s honor. <\/p>\n
