Michael Olsen with the Sandy City Police Department said a robbery occurred near Main Street Park at around 8:20 p.m., which resulted in the shooting.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2253271\" class=\"wp-image-2253271 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/alston-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1129\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2253271\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Alston Crosby, KSL TV)<\/p>\n<p>According to Olsen, the victim is a 40-year-old man. He was taken to Intermountain Health Intermountain Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>There were people who witnessed the shooting.
