Alec Baldwin<\/a> and Stephen Baldwin were involved in a terrifying incident.<\/p>\n

The 30 Rock star, 67, shared that he and his youngest brother, 59, are safe after he drove a Range Rover head-first into a tree in East Hampton, N.Y.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis morning, I was in a car accident,\u201d Alec said in an Oct. 13 Instagram video<\/a>. \u201cI’m fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that a garbage truck that was \u201cthe size of a whale\u201d cut him off while driving his wife Hilaria Baldwin<\/a>\u2019s car through an East Hampton neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo avoid hitting him,\u201d Alec continued, \u201cI hit a big fat tree and crushed my wife’s car. I crushed my wife’s car\u2014I feel bad about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThat’s all fine, and I’m fine, and my brother’s fine. My wife’s car is pretty smashed up. Big tree, big fat tree.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to sharing his gratitude for the East Hampton Police Department, Alec noted that he would soon be leaving New York to visit Hilaria and their kids Carmen, 11, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 4, Mar\u00eda Luc\u00eda, 4, and Ilaria, 2. <\/p>\n

\u201cI’m going to L.A. to see my family,\u201d he concluded. \u201cCan’t wait. Going out to California to gather my family together, spend a few days out there and then come home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alec also alluded to Hilaria\u2019s recent elimination<\/a> from Dancing With the Stars<\/a>, noting, \u201cI’m still so proud of my wife, Hilaria. I love you more than anything, and I’m very proud of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

For his part, Stephen also spoke out about the car crash, confirming he, too, is OK. <\/p>\n

\u201cStephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured,\u201d his rep told E! News in a statement. \u201cHe appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well.”<\/p>\n

In pictures and footage of the crash obtained by TMZ<\/a>, Alec and Stephen stood in the rain and spoke with police who responded to the scene. The It\u2019s Complicated actor also made a phone call while standing beside the tree and damaged car, which had its front end damaged in the crash.<\/p>\n

It appears that Stephen went to a restaurant following the incident, as he shared a clip to his Instagram Story<\/a> in the afternoon showing himself ordering a hamburger, fries and drink from All American Hamburger Drive In in Massapequa, N.Y. <\/p>\n

In the days leading up to the crash, the Baldwin brothers attended<\/a> the Hamptons International Film Festival to promote their One Bad Movie podcast series, which Stephen hosts and has featured Alec on multiple episodes. <\/p>\n

Though Alec and Stephen have not starred in a movie or TV project together, they rose to prominence in the \u201880s and \u201890s alongside their actor brothers Daniel Baldwin, 65, and Billy Baldwin, 62. (The brothers also grew up with their sisters Elizabeth Baldwin Keuchler, 69, and Jane Baldwin Sasso, 60.)<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re still kind of pinching ourselves,\u201d Stephen told Vanity Fair<\/a> in 2012, referencing the family\u2019s fame. \u201cFrom my perspective, we\u2019re just four dumb jocks from Long Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Alec\u2014also dad to daughter Ireland Baldwin, 29, with ex Kim Basinger\u2014has reflected on how his kids are experiencing a similar childhood to his own.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were four boys growing up. Two sisters. Hilaria and I have four boys. Two girls,\u201d Alec wrote on Instagram<\/a> in February 2022, alongside a picture of two of his sons. \u201cThe best of times (and the worst of times) were shared with my brothers.\u201d<\/p>\n
