Now, she recently hinted at a farewell, which garnered the attention of the Indiana Fever star herself. <\/p>\n

Caitlin Clark reacts emotionally to Kelsey Mitchell\u2019s heartfelt season-ending post amid uncertainty about her future<\/p>\n

Indiana Fever<\/a> star Caitlin Clark recently responded with a heartfelt comment to Kelsey Mitchell’s moving post. This happened after Mitchell paid tribute to her father, Mark, who passed away in March 2024. On Instagram, she posted: \u201cHad to get to it differently than everybody else. Grief had me excited for a small piece of it\u2026 indifferent for the majority of it. charged it ALL to the game. ain\u2019t no life jacket come for me, word to Him. Pop’s blueprint kept me in survival mode\u2026\u201dThe three-time All-Star posted 20 images and gave a heartfelt homage to the team, even implying that her time in Indiana might be coming to an end. She then continued:\u201cThat survival made me. I don’t know what it all really meant\u2026. just that it meant i stood on all 10 about it. The motto remains: shut up and go hunting. zero, gone\u2026\u201dHer post’s comments section was filled with Indiana Fever players who were involved in Mitchell’s journey the previous season. Shortly after the post, Clark made an emotional response in the comments section. She wrote: \u201cSo lucky to be ur teammate !!! Proud of u kels.\u201dMitchell and Clark go a long way. After Caitlin Clark got sidelined due to a groin injury, Mitchell did an amazing performance assisting the team. She averaged 20.2 points per game and was named to the All-WNBA<\/a> First Team.<\/p>\n

Even Sophie Cunningham couldn\u2019t stay away from commenting. She left a brief statement for the Fever player and wrote:\u201cEveryone’s GOAT.\u201dCunningham has previously praised Mitchell after the conclusion of their WNBA season. She opened up about the same in a recent episode of her podcast, “Show Me Something.” talking about her teammate, Cunningham stated:\u201cKelsey is the most selfless, humble human you will ever ever meet\u2026 And I think if we would have made it, if we would [have] won and she would have been healthy, she should have been MVP. I\u2019m not taking away from A\u2019ja [Wilson]..\u201dShe further continued\u201d\u201c… But nobody, nobody in our entire league could stop Kelsey Mitchell this year. And I want to be her biggest fan because she is just, I\u2019m not kidding, the best human that you could possibly ever be around.\u201dMitchell is one of the five contenders for the MVP award during the regular season.
