(WNEM) – The founder of a local sanctuary has written a book based on a rescued goat who lost his back legs and ears to frostbite.<\/p>\n

Artichoke arrived at the Lucky Day Animal Rescue in February after surviving severe frostbite. Despite his injuries, he refused to give up, according to Sommer. She added that with patience, care, and creativity, Artichoke learned to live fully again. He is grazing, playing, and thriving at the sanctuary.<\/p>\n
\u201cArtichoke reminds us that even when life looks different than we planned, we can still do amazing things,\u201d Sommer said. \u201dHe\u2019s the perfect example of resilience and kindness.\u201d<\/p>\n
