\n\tSony<\/a> Pictures is opening Mandalay Pictures\u2019 new action movie\u00a0Archangel<\/a> starring Jim Caviezel<\/a>, Olivia Thirlby<\/a>, Garret Dillahunt<\/a> and Shea Whigham<\/a> on Nov. 6, 2026. This is the first we\u2019re hearing about the project, particularly with Sony\u2019s attachment. Plot details are under wraps. <\/p>\n

\n\tWill Eubank<\/a> directs (Land of Bad,\u00a0Underwater) from a script by Chris Papasadero and Oscar nominee Randall Wallace (Braveheart, We Were Soldiers). Pic is produced by David Zelon and William Sherak. Peter Guber is executive producing.<\/p>\n

\n\tEubank recently directed\u00a0Land Of Bad\u00a0starring Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe and\u00a0Underwater\u00a0starring Kristen Stewart. His first feature,\u00a0Love, was a breakout success, playing at numerous film festivals and won the Santa Barbara International Film Festival\u2019s \u201cBest of the Fest\u201d award. The filmmaker is repped by CAA, Anonymous Content, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole LLP (JSSK).<\/p>\n

\n\tCaviezel is best known for his turn as Jesus in Mel Gibson\u2019s $610 million grossing\u00a0The Passion of the Christ. He recently starred in the box-office breakout hit\u00a0Sound of Freedom\u00a0and previously led the long-running CBS series\u00a0Person of Interest.<\/p>\n

\n\tThirlby broke out in the Oscar-winning movie\u00a0Juno\u00a0and her most recent credits include the Academy Award winning film\u00a0Oppenheimer\u00a0and TV series\u00a0Y: The Last Man.\u00a0The actress is represented by Verve, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren & Richman.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDillahunt is best known for his performances in the Coen Brothers Oscar-winning drama\u00a0No Country for Old Men,\u00a0the critically acclaimed film\u00a0Winter\u2019s Bone, and the HBO series\u00a0Deadwood. He recently appeared in Zack Snyder\u2019s\u00a0Army of the Dead. The actor is repped by Independent Artist Group and D2 Management.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhigham\u2019s credits include\u00a0Boardwalk Empire, True Detective, Joker,\u00a0American Hustle,\u00a0Mission: Impossible \u2013 Dead Reckoning,\u00a0and multiple entries in the\u00a0Fast & Furious\u00a0franchise. He is repped by WME and Range. <\/p>\n

\n\tArchangel will open against Warner Bros Animation\u2019s The Cat in the Hat and an untitled Disney feature movie on Nov. 6 next year. The movie\u2019s release date benefits from the Veteran\u2019s Day holiday falling during the title\u2019s opening week.
