In <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/gregjoz\/status\/1978172574782665062?s=46\" rel=\"nofollow\">an X post<\/a>, Apple SVP of worldwide marketing Greg Joswiak wrote that \u201csomething powerful is coming,\u201d and a short video in the post includes the words \u201ccoming soon\u201d and a silhouette of an Apple laptop. Joswiak\u2019s post also includes the word \u201cMmmmm\u201d \u2014 five Ms, get it? \u2014 and the laptop silhouette is in the shape of a Roman numeral V.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">This new laptop isn\u2019t a big surprise, as Bloomberg\u2019s Mark Gurman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/newsletters\/2025-10-12\/inside-apple-s-glasses-pivot-when-apple-is-launching-m5-macbook-pro-ipad-pro?srnd=homepage-americas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recently reported<\/a> that Apple is set to announce a base-model MacBook Pro with an M5 chip this week. The imminent launch of M5-equipped products from Apple isn\u2019t a shock, either: iPad Pros with an M5 chip have also already been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/788743\/apple-ipad-pro-m5-russia-leak-youtube-wylsacom\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">unboxed on YouTube<\/a>, and Gurman said that the new tablets are set to be announced this week, though Joswiak hasn\u2019t hinted at that just yet. Gurman also said that a Vision Pro with \u201ca faster chip\u201d is set to be announced this week, which could be the new headset <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/789801\/apple-vision-pro-fcc-filing-leak\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recently spotted in an FCC filing<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Apple is teasing the imminent launch of a new MacBook with an M5 chip.
