Good Morning America<\/a>‘ where they spoke about sweeping the Phoenix Mercury.<\/p>\nRobin Roberts began by asking Wilson how it felt to hit the game-winning shot in Game 3.<\/p>\n
\u201cI mean, it’s all a part of the game. Those are the moments that you live for in the Finals, So when that opportunity came, I knew I was ready,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cThe biggest thing was just seeing the basketball\u00a0 just go through the hoop and see my teammates embrace me. And it was truly a special moment.\u201d<\/p>\n
Roberts then complimented Wilson on her short hairstyle.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s truly a special thing. I like the look there A\u2019ja. You looking good,\u201d Roberts said as Wilson smiled and modeled her new look.<\/p>\n
As the conversation went on, Young spoke about the team\u2019s resilience.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were a lot of ups and downs this year. This is obviously a different kind of season for us, to end up champs. But the word that we’ve been using is just resilience. I think that’s what our team showed this year,\u201d Young said. \u201cAfter that 53 point loss, we were able to string together 17 wins and get into a good spot for the playoffs.<\/p>\n
Gray is enjoying her second championship this year after winning the inaugural Unrivaled title.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been crazy. Just like what\u00a0 Jackie said,\u00a0 it’s been up and down here this summer but we just had to kind of stay through it. I know she said, resilience, and we were talking about trust in the process, and that’s really what we did,\u201d Gray added\/ \u201cWe had fun doing it, and I’m glad it ended in our favor. \u201cIt\u2019s been a great season, and I’ve enjoyed every part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
For Loyd, she is now 10-0 in the Finals including her wins as member of the Seattle Storm.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it’s a testament to the teams I’ve been on, but also\u00a0 the preparation from the season, ” Loyd said. \u201cBut to do this team means everything to me.
